Slow Fashion: A Thoughtful Approach to Made-to-Order Clothing

Creating fashion involves a journey that requires time and extensive research. While it’s not an easy task, it’s a necessary one. As a brand, we take this challenge seriously and are actively working towards innovation in fashion.

Design Process

The design process begins with the creation of a 3D model of the garment using 3D software. This allows us to develop our patterns to simulate the shape, fit, and movement of the garment on a virtual avatar, as well as to preview the silhouette and material choices at the onset of the design process. The virtual garment can then be adjusted and refined according to the design philosophy.

The next step is to generate a realistic and accurate 3D sample of the fabric using software such as Style3D scanner. This software captures the physical properties and appearance of the fabric from a small swatch. The 3D fabric swatch is then applied to the 3D garment, and the result can be viewed in different lighting and rendering conditions.

The final step is to evaluate and approve the accuracy of the patterns, measurements, and fit tests of the 3D sample, as well as to export the digital pattern for production. The 3D sample can also be shared and communicated with our production team to create the physical piece. By using 3D software for digital sampling and development, the design process benefits from several advantages, such as reducing time and waste from the physical process of sampling and instantly viewing the digital garment in different colors and materials.

Made to Order

Our made-to-order model offers an alternative to the fast fashion norm. Instead of producing clothing in large quantities based on predicted trends, made-to-order fashion involves creating garments only when they are specifically requested by customers. This approach helps us avoid overproduction and reduces the amount of unsold inventory.

We focus on sourcing fabrics that are appropriate for our designs. This includes incorporating deadstock luxury designer fabrics.
